The plane „burns“ at the Airport Žilina....

On the day 19.11.2009 a cooperative drill of emergency elements at the simulated accident at the Airport Žilina in Dolný Hričov. Elements of emergency medical services Žilina, Directorate Municipal Fire and Rescue Service Žilina and Rescue Fire Brigades and Rescue Service Žilina intervened in dealing with the aftermath of an accident of a small airliner with 5 "passengers". The aim of the drill was to practice activity of emergency elements of the airport, the other elements of the Integrated Rescue System and other supporting elements in solving of accident, after its occurrence, and removal of its consequences. There were also trained a procedure of notification to the occurred situation, exchange of information between rescue forces as well as arriving times of called elements of the Integrated Rescue System. This drill took a place purely by chance exactly on the day of the International Congress connected with the conference "112 Rescue Forum" (at the Holiday Inn Žilina), directed by the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health and the European Emergency Number Association (EENA) Workers of Žilina Airport proved during this drill that they are ready for professional intervention to any emergency incidents at the airport.
