The passengers have been able to use the scheduled flight Prague-Zilina-Prague operated by the Czech Airlines. The 46-seats 2 engines ATR airplane provides the transportation.


Flight connection from Prague to Zilina is operating 2 times every day. You can use other connecting flights from Prague to the whole world.

The airport is located in Dolný Hričov approximately 15 km from Žilina ( from Žilina to Bratislava direction  – see a map ).



 

 

 To the afternoon regular airline there is also the bus transport  from Žilina from the platform no. 2 arranged. After a return way you have also a possibility to use the bus transport , which waits for you directly in front of the airport hall after your arrival from Prague,  from Monday to Friday.    
 

When you have your own transport, it is possible to use a free unguarded car park with 30 places capacity which is situated in the close distance from the terminal.

 In the case of interest we provide TAXI, or a car rent.

You can book and buy a flight ticket in all travel agencies as well as at flight tickets sellers all over the world, in emergency cases also directly at the airport or through internet e.g.: on the web sites www.csa.cz, www.pelikan.sk

RESERVATION FORM – without engagement

The price of flight tickets depends on a transport class, reservation and purchase advance, the length of a stay in the final destination.

• Children under 2 years of age accompanied by an adult person pay usually 10% from the price of an adult ticket, but the child has no individual seat entitled.
• Children from 2 to 12 years old accompanied by an adult person may get a discount of up to 75% of an adult ticket and they have an individual seat entitled.

The transport of baggage is included in the flight ticket price. Passengers are allowed to take - in the Business class 32 kg / person, in the Economy class 20 kg / person and also the cabin baggage up to 12 kg including other items of personal usage ( a handbag, an umbrella, a camera, a coat, an infant’s carrying basket ) which you can take into the cabin of a plane. Sizes of this baggage are up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm.

• If passenger´s baggage exceeds the limit, it is necessary to pay for the overweight of baggage.
• Maximal approved weight of one piece of checked baggage must not exceed 32 kg!
• On the flights from/to the USA and Canada there are only 2 pieces permitted, each of them of 32 kg in the Business class and 20 kg in the Economy class.
• Baggage ought to be marked with a bag tag containing a name and contact address of the arrival place.
• It is not allowed to carry items of stabbing or cutting nature /knives, scissors, razor blades, manicure, cork opener,…/, weapons or weapons models and also liquids over 100 ml in a package.

Arrival to the airport

Passengers are advised to present themselves at the airport check-in desk well ahead of the latest check-in time. Check-in desk opens 2 hours prior the departure and closes 30 minutes prior the scheduled departure. After this time is not possible to accept a passenger to the transport. To check-in you need a valid ticket, travel document /passport, citizenship card/ and visa, eventually international immunization record depending on rules in the country of departure, arrival or transit. You can ask your travel agent for more detailed information before you buy a ticket.

Check- in of disabled people and people with reduced mobility

Disabled people and people with reduced mobility should have the same conditions of the air transport as other people. These rights are provided by: „Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council Nm. 1107/2006 of the 5th July, 2006 about rights of disabled people and people with reduced mobility within the air transport.“

The Žilina Airport offers an assistance service for disabled people and people with reduced ability without charge through its employees. In the concern of a social integration our employees try to provide adequate care to the concerned people.
Of course it is necessary to inform us about the health state of a passenger in advance. The most important is to provide this information already at the flight ticket reservation (minimally 48 hours in advance). A forwarding agent then provides everything necessary for the provision of this service and confirms the service.

• An employee of the airport will help you willingly with a registration and baggage reclaim at the Žilina Airport.
• The whole area of the Žilina Airport is without barriers and it allows free moving of a passenger from the entrance gate, departure gate to the transport onto the plane.
• We provide help with a wheelchair, other sanitary means and assistance at the transport to the toilette.
• All services are provided in the same way at the arrival and also departure from/to the Žilina Airport.
