Winter Timetable 2009/2010
From 25.10.2009 start winter timetable also at Žilina Airport ....
Czech Airlines and Airport Žilina arrange the winter timetable for airline Praha – Žilina – Praha. In spite of passengers worldwide decrease in all air transport, we have still the little increase. However we decided to change the timetable. This change results are from the last winter traffic evaluation. By reason of adverse weather conditions it was happening that the overnight flight was cancelled and it was very uncomfortable for our passengers and also unpleasant for the air carrier. So we hope, that our passengers will understand this restriction during next winter season which is only for the safety of air traffic. But it has been added one frequency – Sunday return flight.
On the present runs installation of the landing system to improve the landing conditions. Certification will be after the pilot run, in February or March 2010. So in the summer our airport will be equipped for credible operation of “ the night flight”.
